I want a black leather motorbike jacket with zips on ok!!!

Nicki Nolan says her mate Kate has one but I found out it's a crap one with quilted shoulders. James Beadle's mate was selling one but because of James he has let me down.

Rang Kev and he came over for a chat – he's so nice to me but sometimes I just use him or Aldi for his leather jacket.

Went to 'Airport' party, wore red bondage trousers. Martin totally ignored me so I ignored him.

Today I pissing went and spent all my cash I'd saved up on a leather waistcoat – £25, I'm not sure whether I really like it yet or not – I suppose I'll grow to like it – I hope!

Got Echo and the Bunnymen LP for £2.50 – bargain – and two Siouxsie singles from Record Fair. Met Kev and Aldi later in the
day for a laff!

I painted SIOUXSIE on my jacket instead. I'll just have to get bollocked.

Also, I skived last lesson to go and see Kaz in hospital. I am flogging my Alarm tickets.

When I was eleven years old, I begged my parents for a leather jacket. I don't think they knew where to get one and so my mum fobbed me off with a fake short-haired brown fur coat from C&A.
It had a faux leather belt which she tried to convince me was almost a leather jacket, and whenever I wore it I would think of my pet gerbils, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

The Year of the Goth Leather Jacket, 2020

Hand-painted leather jacket, leather paint, metal skull studs

I originally painted this on the back of my teenage leather jacket when I was about 17. Although I managed to keep most things from my yoof, I have no idea whatever happened to it, – I can only think I must've sold or traded it when I left home as it was probably the most precious and expensive thing that I owned at the time and so I traded it for an airline ticket to New York or something . . . the start of another great adventure . . .

An obsessive mind is hard to leave behind – when you walk out the room it comes (goes with you?) with you –

I spent weeks trying to source interesting vintage Siouxsie badges on Ebay and came to the conclusion if it doesn't exist – invent it.

The Oldest Punk in Town Leather Jacket, 2020

Leather jacket with acrylic painted canvas, safety pins, metal studs

When I was a teenager me and my mates would hang out at the Clocktower on Saturdays in Leicester City centre where we befriended an old punk named Jonno, he was small and squat, and built like a brick shithouse, his body – bursting at the seams – was covered in tattoos and his leather jacket covered in studs.

Apparently he had a metal plate in his head from some previous fight or accident or something and he could always be found throwing people around in the mosh-pit at the many gigs we attended, or we'd just hang out in his flat in Highfields whiling away the afternoon listening to records . . . we nicknamed him 'the oldest punk in town' . . . the reworking of an old friend . . .

LONDON – Me and Jason skived off school all day to go down wonderful London for a doss. Nobody knows – met him at bus station at 8.45 am. London is ACE! – got fantastic pair of red and black leather and suede boots – £21 – ACE!. We got laffed at, pointed at, 2 people took our photos and I might be on the TV as I walked behind Steve Blackwell. Thumbed a lift and arrived home at 8.30 pm.

The bad news is that Will Redfern saw us on bus and he will report back to Martin that I'm going with JASON! – NO! please not / I love Martin, NOT Jason.

Not a bad trip to Poly – Jason and I spent all day trying to make each other jealous of what we'd been up to last week. I lied – but so did he.

How I hate Amanda and the rest of them 'Private Rebels/Weekend Punks/No Brain Slags'. Me and Jason going Nottingham to see a few bands.

Can't get leather sleeves fitted to my waistcoat – what a bastard.

My fantastic painting is going in an exhibition at Loughborough Art College.

Got Louise U2 'Unforgettable Fire' for her birthday. I now want to go to London to get a leather jacket!

For the first time in ages I spent Saturday night at home. I needed a rest from it all besides Charlie was working. Watched 'Rude Boy' and 'Jubilee' on Video – it's got a great clip of Siouxsie in it.

Apparently Mum is worried about my alcoholic habits as I drink 'wine like water' – Jesus Fucking Christ or what?

I painted Siouxsie on my leather jacket.

Went to a rummage sale and got a psychedelic top for 10p – but the jeans didn't fit – oh well, another year of being a poor art student.

Wrote a song today about 'The Leicester Molester' – which is a start.

Ian came over about 6.30 and dad lent him his car. We went to The Centre Bar and saw Mick who will get a microphone for me. Then onto the De Mont where Tinkey works – it's the new place to go now that the CB and Reflections are full of twats.

The De Mont is full of 'real people'. Then onto The White Horse in Birstall who wouldn't serve us because we were wearing leather jackets. So we back to The Trees and onto my house – he stayed the night and told me he likes me lots.

First day back at college and I w oke in darkness.

It was over with in about an hour as all anyone could talk about was how drunk they got over the Christmas holidays.

John Lambert looked across the room at me rather sheepishly in class, as if something happened between us on Saturday night – which it didn't. And even if it did then it certainly wasn't worth talking about, underneath it all he seems rather naive.

Went into town and bought a cheap black fucked up leather coat for £3.50, the sort you wouldn't save 'for best', but it'll do for now.

I'm thinking of redecorating my bedroom with an airbrush.

Started a new painting titled 'Gay Nazi Reminiscing about the Past'

DOCTORS 11 am

Walked to Mountsorrel and back in the ice for my doctor's appointment. He says I'm ok for now but must keep taking the pills.
